2019-2020 Co-op Class Planning
If you haven’t been involved in Elkhorn Quest Co-op before, I’ll explain how we work a little. Check these planning posts out to see what you think, and plug in your thoughts on it, as well. That will help you know if it is a good fit for you. You are also welcome to come take a trial visit on one of the remaining dates, April 5, April 19, May 3 and May 17. We meet at Our Saviour's Baptist Church in Elkhorn. When you are involved in the co-op, you may participate in any or all of the classes offered, which will only have as small of supply costs as possible. We work together and all plug in to make this possible, each taking a little of the work so we can all enjoy the benefits. Classes are on the first and third Fridays, September through January for the fall semester, and February through May for the spring semester. Times usually are 9:00-2:45 or so, depending on what we dream up. It is possible to be involved for just a part of that, but since we are working together and parents or older kids are helping out, you’ll need to allow time for those positions within that. Parents stay in the building with kids.
Requirements:
-Building fee is $35 for the semester per family (some scholarships available).
-New families have a $50 security deposit, which is returned at the end of the semester.
-Teach or assist a class (new families usually assist, but we can visit about that if you have ideas)
-Assist in another class
-Have a staff position (usually set up or clean up, but we have some other positions available).
-Bring a snack on a particular date, or a supply item
