Description: A fun, relaxing way to be creative and enjoy time together! Little ones can play and build. This can also be a place to go if young ones are in Build-A-World, but lose attention in that class after a while. This class needs a teacher, but it won’t take prep. A couple big bags of homemade playdo and a few cookie cutters will set the class up nicely- we have duplo already available. My youngest son loved it when we did this before, and the first semester we didn’t, he cried every time we came for weeks because it was so tragic not to have such a wonderful thing!

Description: In this class, we will learn map skills and some basic geography as we create our own road systems, primarily with tape, matchbox cars and blocks. We’ll have some papers and projects kids can do at home for prizes, but are not required. I’d recommend this class for ages 4 and up, but younger ones who want to try can join, and if they end up leaving for playdo instead midway, that’s ok, too.

All homeschooling families are welcome to join us and bring your own lunch. A kitchen available with a microwave and oven for your convenience. Families must clean up after themselves and remove lunch items at 12:45, to allow cleanup crews to put tables and chairs away. This time is always free and requires no signing up to attend, but please mark if you have any serious allergies that we should know about to not bring (such as peanut butter).
1:00-1:55
Workshop
Coordinator: Julie D
All homeschooling families are welcome, and this time is always free and requires no signing up to attend. This is a time when we are together as families, and we invite other teachers in, or families to present and share with everyone. We ask that each family in the co-op classes see if you can host or line something up one time in this school year. If your family chooses to do the workshop, you could present something you have been working on at home, a special trip, or a topic you like or have experience in. If you want to line up someone else to present, look around for people who teach or know something that would be fun to share. Consider grandparents or friends who might be willing to come share about things they do. We’re happy to help with ideas, or “fill in” the time with related crafts or activities. Please put your name on a date you would like to pursue, and visit with Julie or Felicia about the details.
