Special Thanksgiving Workshop- 10:00-2:00pm
Friday, November 17
We have decided to change our usual class routine for Friday, November 17. We will NOT be having our regular classes today. Instead, we are going to have a very special Thanksgiving celebration. You are encouraged to dress up in your favorite Colonial or Indian clothing (or whatever seems close enough to you- I usually nix the pirate swords and fairy wings for my kids, but most everything else they come up with is reasonable!).
10:00-10:30- Arrive and dress-up time: We’ll have some extra cloth if you want to try your hand at making a headband with feathers, create a robe or dress or add beads. Feel free to bring some of these items, if you have extra.
10:30-11:00- Thanksgiving story dramatization: If your children want to be a part of that, comment or let me know. Practicing at 9:30 could be possible.
11:00-12:00- Crafts or activities: If you have something you would like to share, you can comment about that. We can all bring whatever items you need for that.
12:00-1:00- Thanksgiving meal: Please add your menu selection to the comments below so we can bring a Thanksgiving style meal to share. Feel free to bring something usual, an old family recipe, or something more like what the pilgrim ate.
1:00-2:00- Visit and clean up
