***If you haven’t been involved in out co-op classes, you are welcome to check these planning posts out to see what you think, and plug in your thoughts on it, as well. When you are involved in the co-op, you may participate in any or all of the classes offered, which will only have as small of supply costs as possible. Our requirements are that each family will sign up to teach a class, assist in a class and have a staff position (usually set up or clean up). Also, each family will be asked to bring either a snack or a supply item such as tape or paper plates, and each family will pay $35 for the semester (some scholarships available). New families will have a $50 security deposit, which will be returned at the end of the semester. You may post questions here, or email Felicia at [email protected].
It’s crazy to think that the end of this school year is already here, and even crazier to think about how quickly a new one will be sneaking up on us! Please get your thinking caps on and start brewing ideas about next year. Click on the “comment” link, and note what you and your children are interested in that you’re hoping someone else will want to teach, what you have in your supplies that you might be willing to do with some other students, and what brilliant ideas you just can’t wait to teach. I’ve already been hearing great things, and can’t wait to see what comes up!

I'm planning on spending at least part of our school year studying Nebraska. We will start over the summer, so we can get more outdoor activities in. As well as going over the history and such, we will extensively study the plants, animals and such around us, so our science will basically be about Nebraska. I would be happy to turn that into a class somehow, and maybe use our field trip days for that, as well. I will be checking with my kids to see what their interest is, also.

I like the sound of both, and would be interested even in some of the summer outings if you would be up for a larger group. J&M would do LtoL, if available.

Middles, tweens and teens. It might be a lot for a 5 year old to wrap their head around, but certainly by 8 I would think they could follow along pretty well.

For Race car, this could be something like the Hot Wheels Speedometry, free curriculum at https://hotwheels.mattel.com/en-us/explore/speedometry/index.html

That's a lot of wonderful ideas! I think I have kids who would be interested in many, but especially Narnia, pottery, string arts, spelling, and older ones possibly the economics.

My kids would enjoy the solar system a lot. I wonder if that would fit well together with the thoughts Melody has about astronomy and constellations?
