Just a reminder- we work as a co-op for the most part. We try to keep costs minimal, and share the workload together. We usually ask that people would teach 1 class or area, and assist with 1-2 classes or areas. But we also understand that situations vary, and we'll work with you. However, if you aren't able or don't wish to help right now, we offer classes at a small cost, as well.

My kids really enjoyed their classes this year and have favorites they would love to see continue! (preschool P.E. and art, word working and LEGO.)

I like the Bible Storying Class idea. Is there a guided curriculum for that?

Writing - Logan would like to see Right Wright continue to get the entire scope of the program - If your plate is too full Felicia, what about Deb Essink? I would like to see this expanded to essay writing and persuasive writing for olders. We love/need the accountability this class provided!

Elissa would like to see a high school level science class again- perhaps chemistry or physics.

I am interested in teaching Drama. I have some experience including writing our VBS skit. I'd love to work with Elissa. Got a few ideas kickin around.

Daniel would like to assist or lead a building class for more advanced builders than the woodworking class was this year.

I am wanting to teach a music class, and may do an intensive class over the summer, as well. As my interest is in teaching a higher level class for those with previous experience (can read music, currently learning an instrument or voice), I think ideally a summer class would be most beneficial, and then perhaps some of my students can help me lead a class in the fall which would be two-part. One would be for higher level, and one would be more like the class I did a few years back and encompass many ages and experience levels.

I would also like to plan several mom's night out times, with some experienced homeschooling pros who can come in and visit with us. We could do this just a couple times, or have a monthly night, if the interest was very high.

I'm thinking about next year and what we are doing. We are going to be involved in a couple of groups, but we've really liked the spirit and dynamic of Elkhorn Quest, so we will probably join up with EQ for the afternoon classes next year.

I have a friend that knows Spanish well and is possibly interested in teaching a Spanish class for elementary as well as one for Jr Hi/Highschool if we are interested. I think it would be good to consider paying her the $15/per student even for families that are involved in the group.

Would that be $15/student per hour? My family would be interested, depending on cost.

I told her the normal amount for payment was $15/student/semester. She is still thinking about if it is even feasible with her schedule to do it, but I figured on our end to be able to give her an idea of how much interest there is would be helpful.

We are very interested as well. I would have two kids in each class (elementary and 12+). I'd also be willing to pay more if needed.

My boys loved the lego class, Konos, and woodworking and would like to see them continue. Yusuf (who will be 7) would like to see a class about how houses are built (perhaps the architecture class would be close enough). Cassius would like a class about "what happens underground", with bugs and such. Mercedes, who will turn 6 in October, would like to learn how to make clothes (maybe doll clothes?) but I'm not sure if she's too young yet. We also really enjoy/appreciate the Littles lego and art classes. An ABC class or something similar would be awesome also.

I'd also teach an upper level math course if that would be of interest. Nothing too crazy but algebra, algebra 2, or geometry I could teach or help with.
